Retirement

You will pay into a state retirement plan in lieu of paying into Social Security (Note: if you were hired after April 1986; both you and the district will still pay into Medicare). 

• STRS (State Teachers Retirement System) for certified employees

• SERS (School Employees Retirement System) for classified employees

Tax Sheltered Annuities

The Princeton City School District offers employees the opportunity to defer a portion of their salary into a board approved 403b and/or 457 program.  The Princeton City School District doesn’t contribute to either program.
